Erling Haaland is on course to hit the 40-goal mark in the Premier League this season as his incredible scoring form continues.

The Manchester City hit his 28th goal of the campaign in the win over Crystal Palace on Saturday, in what was his 26th game of the season.

Only Luis Suarez has a comparable record when he reached 28 goals from his first 26 games in the 2013-14 campaign. The Uruguayan ended the campaign with 31 goals, equalling the previous record set by Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo, but Suarez was always playing catch up having missed the first five matches of the campaign season for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic during the previous season.
