Danny Miller jokingly sparked a cheeky 'feud' between two of the nation's biggest soaps, Emmerdale and Coronation Street. The Aaron Dingle actor's quip came after his television rival Elle Mulvaney spoke of meeting The Queen when she ventured up to Manchester last year to pay the Corrie cast a visit.

Speaking at The National Lottery's Big Jubilee Street Party on Thursday, Elle revealed what it was like meeting the 96 year old monarch - who today made her first outing in six weeks amid her health issues. "She was very nice, very posh as you'd expect from the Queen," the 19 year old said to the Daily Star.

Elle continued: "But she came down to the set, and I think she just wanted to look at what life is like on the cobbles." When she was asked if the Queen enjoyed a pint in the show's iconic pub, the Rovers Return, Elle confessed: "She didn't have a pint - I think she's more of a gin and tonic kind of girl our Lizzy." Emmerdale star Danny then interjected to playfully say: "I bet she's never watched an episode of Corrie." Meanwhile, the Queen looked fantastic as she was spotted making her way to The Royal Windsor Horse Show in Home Park, Windsor Castle, after missing the first day.The monarch was pictured beaming on 13 May as she sat in the front seat of a car with a pair of sunglasses to shield her eyes.

Thursday was the start of the show, which the Queen missed for the first time in 79 years. The annual event lasts four days and features competitions in three equestrian disciplines.
