Emmerdale is set to return to TV screens after ITV changed its schedule following the sad news of Queen Elizabeth II's death at age 96.
ITV bosses suspended its Thursday schedule to provide continuous news coverage, celebrating Her Majesty The Queen's life, looking back at her reign and her decades of service to the country.
Now, viewers will have the chance to catch up on Thursday's hour-long Emmerdale episode after ITV announced its new Sunday evening line-up, which will see the soap aired at 6:35pm.
A release date for Friday's episode is not yet known. A spokesperson for the broadcaster said: "ITV’s main channel will continue to make changes to its schedule to broadcast the important state events of the coming days culminating in the historic state funeral with extensive and dedicated news coverage from our news teams. "ITV will also be showing a number of documentaries about the Queen and the new King over the coming days.
