During the dramatic episode, Charity Dingle was left for dead as she disturbed a mysterious figure robbing the premises where they charged at her and she fell to the floor.
Soap watchers were quick to speculate who the mystery person could be but were soon left fuming as the ITV soap's Twitter account accidentally revealed it was Cain before the reveal had aired.
Emmerdale tweeted at 7:31pm, which is when the soap usually ends but Tuesday's episode was an hour long and finished at 8pm.
