Emmerdale fans break down in tears as Marlon Dingle walks down the aisle to marry Rhona Goskirk

EMMERDALE fans are in tears after Marlon Dingle walked down the aisle to marry Rhona Goskirk. The chef - who is played by actor Mark Charnock in the ITV soap - suffered a stroke earlier this year and hasn’t been able to walk since.

However he was determined to flip tradition and walk down the aisle to a waiting Rhona for their wedding ceremony. But after collapsing yesterday, Marlon was rushed to hospital and held overnight.

Released just in time for the wedding, his best friend Paddy got him to the church in time and hurled him through the doors in his wheelchair.

And in front of his waiting friends and family Marlon stood up and walked for the first time since the stroke.
