elderly woman was left 'very shaken' after being pushed to the ground by a thug in a terrifying attempted robbery. The criminal had watched the 78-year-old withdraw money from a cash machine in the Kincorth area of Aberdeen before she was set upon.

She had taken the money from a machine on the city's Provost Watt Drive around 4pm on Monday when she was approached by a man who tried to take it.

The pensioner was pushed too the ground and the man made off on a white bike in the direction of the nearby playing fields.Cops are keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened or anything suspicious in the area at the time.Detective Constable Christopher Chapman said: “This was an unprovoked attempt to take money from and elderly woman who was left.
