EK family call on First Minister to back Anne's Law

East Kilbride family are calling on the First Minister to ensure the rights of care home residents’ to see their loved ones.

Natasha Duke and dad, Campbell, have campaigned for months to be able to see mum and wife, Anne, who suffers from early on-set dementia, indoors.The Anne’s Law campaign has been named in honour of the 62-year-old former therapist who is in an East Kilbride care home.And opposition political parties have backed a plea from thousands of families who have been forced to watch loved ones endure nine months of coronavirus lockdown isolation.Proposed emergency legislation would give nominated relatives or friends the same access rights to care homes as staff, while following stringent infection control procedures.
