Eight-week customer complaint referral wait could be halved under new plans

The UK Government’s consultation, Reforming Competition and Consumer Policy, has suggested that the eight weeks could be cut to four, and that the senior managers at Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) providers and ombudsmen should be subject to a 'fit and proper persons test'.

These measures were proposed by MSE in its 2017 report, 'Sharper Teeth' and in its 2019 report 'Justice Delayed'.Martin Lewis, founder of MoneySavingExpert.com said: "Finances are about far more than the money in people's pockets.
