Edwin van der Sar confirms interest in future role at Manchester United

Van der Sar was frequently tipped to arrive as United's inaugural director of football before John Murtough and Darren Fletcher were appointed as the club's football director and technical director respectively earlier this year.
And following the news that United's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is standing down in 2021, Van der Sar has been mentioned as a possible candidate to replace him.
