Eastenders star Rita Simons shows off ring as she confirms engagement to Ben Harlow

She captioned the post: "...so this happened!" alongside two ring emojis. The 47-year-old, who now stars as Marie Fielding in Hollyoaks after playing Roxy Mitchell in Eastenders for 10 years, met partner Ben while performing in Legally Blonde the Musical in 2017.
She has been in a relationship with the former actor, who is now a podcast host, since 2020. Rita's friends and fans flooded the announcement post with messages of congratulations.
Samantha Womack, who played Rita's on-screen sister in the BBC soap, commented: "Wooooooooooop!!!!!" Blue star-turned-actor Duncan James wrote: "Love u so much!
