EASTENDERS fans were left moved after a special pre-episode scene paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth featuring Albert Square favourites.
The Queen's death was announced on 8 September at 6:30pm leading to a change in programming, including one of EastEnders' episodes.
Ahead of the first show to air after the Queen's death, a pre-scene showed a number of characters paying tribute to the 96-year-old in the Queen Vic pub.
Pub landlady, Linda Carter was seen with Denise Fox and Kathy around a photo of the Queen. They referred to her Platinum Jubliee, which was celebrated across the nation, earlier in the year as a "classy way to say goodbye", before Denise, played by Diane Parish, said: "God bless her, she's been there our whole lives.
