Former EastEnders star Jo Joyner has revealed that she will be reuniting with a past co-star from the hit BBC soap for new Channel 5 thriller For Her Sins.
The actress, 46, who played Tanya Branning on-off from 2006 until 2018, will be starring alongside Ann Mitchell, who played her on-screen mum Cora Cross in Albert Square from 2011 until 2018.Talking about the reunion on Monday's This Morning, Jo said: "I know!
What are the chances? Very different dynamic, very different show. "Yeah, really strange in that when you work with somebody, one of the saddest parts of doing a drama with people is that you pretty much know you’re unlikely to work with them again." For Her Sins follows Jo's character Laura Conroy, who seemingly has it all - however, it's soon revealed that her life isn't quite as perfect as she makes out and things are thrown into chaos by mysterious stranger Emily, played by Rachel Shenton.
Ann will be playing Maggie in the thriller. A synopsis teases: "We see Laura led down an increasingly dangerous path as Emily nurtures Laura’s neuroses about her ability as a mother, fuels tensions in her marriage and reignites an old flame from Laura’s past. "But Laura is hiding something too… and these two women are bound by a shared secret, one they have both tried to keep buried.
