East Kilbride gaffer would "go mental" if we start thinking about Lowland title, says captain Gary Miller

East Kilbride captain Gary Miller hopes to be lifting the Lowland League trophy aloft at the end of the season but insists his focus is only on the next game because "his gaffer would go mental" if they started thinking any further ahead.Kilby opened up a three point gap at the top of the table after Miller netted the only goal of the game in a 1-0 win over Cumbernauld Colts, before he made a goal-saving clearance off the line in stoppage time to deny the visitors a certain point.Miller, 35, won two league titles with Ross County early in his career and also has a Scottish Cup winners' medal from his spell at St Johnstone.It is that experience that encouraged boss Kevin Rutkiewicz to bring him to K-Park in the summer and hand him the armband.Kilby are leading the way at the top from Rangers B - who cannot win the title as per the agreement in them joining the fifth tier - and third-place Civil Service Strollers by five points.And Miller said: "The aim is to win it and I'm sure that's the aim for many teams in the league this season."But it's a long way away and the gaffer would go mental at us if we looked any further ahead than the next game."There's not going to be any easy games in this league and you've got to grind games out when you have to."I'm enjoying it here.
