A key aspect of the Chancellor's Spring Budget was a promise to deliver 'growth' to the economy and provide more support for the most vulnerable.

As part of this, benefits across the board will receive an increased weekly payment rate in line with September's inflation.

Last September, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) was recorded at 10.1 per cent - this means benefits will rise by the same rate in April.

In Jeremy Hunt's Spring Budget, he confirmed the changes to benefit rates will continue as planned, alongside other forms of support such as the upcoming cost of living payments.
