Driver escapes 'ferocious' Dundee car fire as emergency services rush to scene

A driver has had a miracle escape after his car burst into flames on a major Dundee road. Fire crews rushed to Strathmartine Road shortly before 1pm today after a black Mercedes went up in flames.

The driver thanked a local for alerting him to the fire under his car and for helping him get to safety.
