For those who don’t know, the Notting Hill star had a cringe-worthy interview with the 35-year-old model during ABC’s Oscars pre-show on Sunday.

Hugh gave a few curt responses to her questions, basically giving her very little to work with, and then he rolled his eyes at Ashley when their conversation was done!

Although many people thought the 62-year-old actor was being rude towards Ashley, his longtime friend and former Music and Lyrics co-star Drew Barrymore saw it as Hugh being his classic “grumpy” self.
