A Paisley artist set to travel to New York for a one-in-a-lifetime exhibition has been given the greenlight to travel to America after weeks of covid vaccine uncertainty.Alexander Guy, known as Sandy, and his partner Caroline Gormley, who run art studio Made in Paisley, are supposed to be flying to the Big Apple next month for the most important exhibition in his 30-year art career.The couple have spent months preparing for the dream trip, which will see Alexander’s work showcased at Harpers Gallery in the city, considered one of the art capitals of the world.But, until yesterday, their dream trip faced being over before it even began as both Alexander and Caroline vaccinated with AstraZeneca - a covid jab which was not accepted by the USA.
