Disused Ayrshire site brightened up in time for Christmas with wonderful festive display

A disused patch of land in an Ayrshire town centre has been transformed into a stunning Christmas display.The site of the former of Burns House in Ayr has been brightened up by council garden crews in time for the festive season.We previously told how the grounds maintenance team paid tribute to war heroes with a touching poppy display in time for Remembrance Day.This week they have returned to the spot to work their magic again - this time adding a sprinkle of Christmas cheer.Decorative baubles have been emblazoned on the patch of grass, whilst Christmas trees have been added to create a lovely 'Christmas Woodland' effect.Their handy-work was shared again on the council's social media, with passers-by impressed by the work again.One resident said: "Lovely.
