Disabled Scots 'beaten down and exhausted' by DWP benefits system that denies thousands PIP

Tories' "toxic" benefits system which made applications purposefully difficult for those who needed the most help. Across England, Scotland and Wales 287,116 people won an appeal over their benefits at tribunal between 2018 and 2021.

Most hearings centred on Personal Independence Payment (PIP), the main disability benefit. At the DWP's assessment centre in Glasgow, 60% of appeals were successful in the last year.
