The newly appointed Queen Consort has been suffering from a broken toe for over two weeks, reports have claimed. It is thought the injury happened prior to the Queen's death last Thursday.

Despite this, Camilla has accompanied the new King Charles III to several events after he succeeded the throne. The 75 year old's injury is not believed to require serious medical attention.

On Wednesday she was driven with Prince William to Westminster Hall to attend the service ahead of the Queen lying in state, the Mirror reports.

However, the injury is not thought to be behind her not joining the 30-minute family procession led by the King. She was on her feet throughout Wednesday's service, which preceded Westminster Hall being opened for members of the public wishing to pay their respect to the UK's longest-serving monarch.
