HOLLY Willoughby is battling for her This Morning job amid claims she skipped the Queen’s lying-in-state queue. A petition for her to go is gaining momentum despite an on-air apology yesterday.

Holly called in lawyers and a source said: “She’s utterly devastated. It’s been an incredibly tough few days.” On yesterday’s ITV show Holly, 41, and co-host Phil Schofield, 60, did a segment addressing online claims they were “too posh to queue” in Westminster Hall last Friday.

Speaking over a montage of people lining to see the coffin, Holly said they went in as accredited broadcasters, adding: “It was strictly for the purpose of reporting on the event for millions who weren’t able to visit in person.” Last night the “quit” petition had 21,000 signatures.
