Deontay Wilder has retained his spot at the top of the World Boxing Council’s rankings, despite losing his last two fights against Tyson Fury.
The Gypsy King claimed the WBC world heavyweight title from Wilder when he defeated him with a seventh-round stoppage in February 2020.
He followed that up with another victory in their trilogy fight in Las Vegas earlier this month, this time with an 11th-round knockout to cement his place at the top of the tree in the heavyweight division.
Despite that, Wilder remains the number one ranked fighter in the WBC’s list, ahead of former unified world heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz Jr and Joe Joyce.
