Davood Ghadami joins cast of Holby City after being axed from EastEnders

Davood Ghadami has joined the cast of Holby City as his character Kush Khazemi prepares to leave EastEnders.The 38 year old has starred as loveable Kush on the hit BBC One soap for seven years, but it was confirmed in September 2020 that he would be leaving the show.

It has now been announced that he will be joining the cast of hospital based BBC drama Holby City later this year as consultant cardiothoracic surgeon Eli Ebrahimi.

Former Strictly Come Dancing star Davood's new character is described as talented, idiosyncratic, excitable, passionate and exploding with energy, putting woking above just about everything.
