Michael Douglas

Michael Kirk Douglas (born September 25, 1944) is an American actor and producer. He has received numerous accolades, including two Academy Awards, five Golden Globe Awards, a Primetime Emmy Award, the Cecil B. DeMille Award, and the AFI Life Achievement Award.

The elder son of Kirk Douglas and Diana Dill, Douglas received his Bachelor of Arts in Drama from the University of California, Santa Barbara. His early acting roles included film, stage, and television productions. Douglas first achieved prominence for his performance in the ABC police procedural television series The Streets of San Francisco, for which he received three consecutive Emmy Award nominations.

Davina McCall 'spoke about death' and admits her 'anger' following brain tumour diagnosis

Davina McCall says she felt her benign tumour "had taken control of me and I was so angry about that" following her diagnosis last year.

The Masked Singer judge shared with followers in November last year that a colloid cyst had been found after she was offered a health check-up as part of her menopause advocacy work.

She had surgery to remove the tumour, and spent time in intensive care before recovering from home with the help of her partner, celebrity hairdresser Michael Douglas.

According to the NHS, non-cancerous brain tumours are more common in people over the age of 50, and symptoms include headaches, vision problems and drowsiness, and some can be "difficult to remove without damaging surrounding tissue".
