Radcliffe FC gave David Goodwillie his debut for the club on Tuesday - but didn't acknowledge the striker had joined the club.

Goodwillie joined Raith Rovers from Clyde in January 2022 but was released in September without playing a game for the Kirkcaldy club.

That came following a furious backlash at his signing, with Goodwillie deemed a rapist by a civil court in 2017. The Rovers women's team cut all ties with the club, with club sponsor Val McDermid, fans, Rape Crisis Scotland and Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon among an extensive list of critics.

After initially doubling down on the signing, the Championship side later issued an apology to furious fans and promised he wouldn't play a game for them, loaning Goodwillie back to Clyde before releasing the former Dundee United striker from his contract on September 30.
