David Ayer is speaking his truth. The Suicide Squad director spoke out regarding his 2016 effort, and the studio’s revision of his original vision, in an emotional letter on Thursday (July 29).Click inside to see what he said… “I put my life into Suicide Squad.

I made something amazing. My cut is intricate and emotional journey with some bad people who are s–t on and discarded (a theme that resonates in my soul),” he said. “The studio cut is not my movie.
