Danniella, 48, played Sam Mitchell, daughter of Dame Barbara's character Peggy Mitchell in the London-based soap. The actress first made her debut in 1990 before various on-off tenure's in the BBC serial drama.
Her latest appearance was in 2016 when she filmed scenes surrounding the on-screen death of the infamous Queen Vic matriarch.
But the star, whose father was also diagnosed with Alzheimer's, opened up to The Sun in an emotional exclusive interview, on how Barbara's passing personally affected her.
