Danilho Doekhi claims Rangers are tracking his Vitesse Arnhem situation. But the Dutch defender admits he'd prefer to move on from his club side in summer rather than this window.

Doekhi, 23, is out of contract in six months and would be free to discuss terms with Gio van Bronckhorst and Ross Wilson right now.

He could be an ideal replacement for Connor Goldson, who is also on an expiring deal with a fresh set of terms as yet unsigned.

Tying the Englishman down for longer would be the favourable outcome but it seems the Ibrox recruitment team are planning for the future after Doekhi told regional broadcaster Omroep Gelderland he knows of interest from Glasgow.
