Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles graphic novel The Last Ronin is being turned into a video game.Speaking to Polygon, Paramount Global’s senior vice president for games and emerging media, Doug Rosen, revealed that a third-person action role-playing game (ARPG) adaptation of The Last Ronin is in the works at an unrevealed studio.Rosen shared that the game is a “few years off” from launching, and likened the upcoming single-player game to Sony Santa Monica‘s God Of War series.The Last Ronin is one of the darker Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stories. Set in the distant future, The Last Ronin followed Michelangelo — the lone surviving Ninja Turtle, after his brothers and mentor Master Splinter were killed by Foot Clan.The premise is much darker than last year’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge; as Michelangelo attempts to murder the Oroku bloodline while haunted by hallucinations of his deceased siblings.Rosen shared that although other characters could still be playable in flashback sequences, the main action would stick to Michelangelo in the game’s present.Looking ahead, Rosen teased that more information about The Last Ronin and other TMNT games would be shared in the next few months and years.It’s a good time to be a TMNT fan, with the likes of The Cowabunga Collection and Shredder’s Revenge launching in 2022.Since its release last June, Shredder’s Revenge has been hugely successful for developer Tribute Games.

Brent Lang Executive Editor Neon has purchased North American rights to “Eileen,” an adaptation of Ottessa Moshfegh’s acclaimed novel of the same title. The movie debuted to strong reviews at Sundance, but its high price tag, said by sources to be in the range of $15 million, made it difficult for the film to score a distribution deal. It languished on the market for roughly two months as several studios kicked the tires. This despite the combined star wattage of “Jojo Rabbit’s” Thomasin McKenzie and Oscar-winner Anne Hathaway and a twisty plot. The rest of the ensemble includes Shea Whigham, Marin Ireland, and Owen Teague. William Oldroyd (“Lady Macbeth”) directs from a script by Moshfegh who adapted “Eileen” with Luke Goebel. Neon will release the film theatrically this fall.

William Earl Fall Out Boy is back with their first record in five years, and although the musical landscape has changed dramatically since the pandemic and the rise of TikTok, “So Much (for) Stardust” returns to the classic sound many fans grew up on. Ronny Chieng, Michael Kosta, Desi Lydic, Dulcé Sloan, Roy Wood Jr., Lewis Black and Jordan Klepper will all get a chance to host the program between the week of April 3 and the week of May 8, Comedy Central announced Friday. Roy Wood Jr. will start the rotation during the week of April 3, followed by Jordan Klepper the week of April 17. Desi Lydic will host the program the week of April 24 ,and Dulce Sloan will anchor the series the week of May 1. Michael Kosta will lead during the week of May 8. Ronny Chieng and Lewis Black have not been assigned weeks as of yet.

Ellise Shafer Enter the Snyderverse: Director Zack Snyder is hosting a three-day celebration of his films in April to benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. The weekend of screenings will take place on April 28-30, with all proceeds going to AFSP in honor of his daughter, Autumn Snyder, who died at the age of 20 in 2017. The three-day event will include director’s cuts of Snyder’s films followed by in-person and livestreamed Q&As with Snyder and special guests. The movies that will be shown include 2013’s “Man of Steel,” 2016’s “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition” and 2021’s “Zack Snyder’s Justice League.” Screenings will take place in Los Angeles at the Ahmanson Auditorium at ArtCenter College of Design on April 28 and 29, with a third screening on April 30 at Universal Cinema AMC at CityWalk Hollywood. Snyder earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film from ArtCenter in 1989 and serves on the college’s board of trustees.
