Edward Christopher Sheeran, MBE (born 17 February 1991) is an English singer-songwriter. In early 2011, Sheeran independently released the extended play, No. 5 Collaborations Project. After signing with Asylum Records, his debut album, + (pronounced "plus"), was released in September 2011. It topped the UK and Australian charts, reached number five in the US, and has since been certified eight-times platinum in the UK.
The album contains the single "The A Team", which earned him the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically. In 2012, Sheeran won the Brit Awards for Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act. "The A Team" was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2013 Grammy Awards, where he performed the song with Elton John.
Cradle Of Filth‘s new album and confirmed that their Ed Sheeran collab will not be on it.In an exclusive interview with Metal Hammer, the frontman of the extreme metal band shared that the group’s new album ‘The Screaming of the Valkyries’ is set to be released sometime in April.
He also opened up about what fans can expect from the album sonically, promising callbacks to their previous LP’s ‘Dusk… And Her Embrace’ and ‘Midian’.“It’s got elements of everything we’ve done, really,” It has a few head nods to works like Midian and Dusk…, especially in the atmosphere and the subject matter.
It’s also got a very brilliant production, courtesy of Scott Atkins,” Filth said.A post shared by Obnubil Studio (@obnubilstudio)However, the musician made it clear that the band’s LP will not be a concept album, explaining that the issue with a concept album is that “they are tricky things”.“You have to have tunnel vision and you can’t veer from that path.
So this is just an album. It’s not an album with filly bits attached, like intros and outros. No guest appearances. Just nine songs,” he said. The statement of “no guest appearances” comes as a surprise as Filth has been talking up a Cradle Of Filth and Ed Sheeran collaboration that he recently confirmed was “done and dusted”.Speaking to the outlet, Filth explained why the Sheeran collab will not be on the album and said: “No, because we don’t want it to overshadow the record.
