Dancing duo take part in hit charity single to raise funds for arts industry

Paisley girl Mia and Cerys, from Barrhead, showcased their other talents to take part in a charity single to raise cash for the Glasgow Philharmonia youth orchestra.

Through the song titled You Can’t Stop the Music, the charity aims to give young people across the country access to dancing opportunities for free.Founder Ross Gunnings hopes it will give a vital boost to the struggling arts industry during the pandemic.Mia’s proud mum Linda Currie said: “This is the third year the girls have auditioned and it was all completely different due to all the ongoing restrictions.“They auditioned in August and there was a hope they would be able to perform in February but it was then pushed to May and now unfortunately it doesn’t look like it will.
