iOS - Android But, prosecutor Victoria Kwell told Glasgow Sheriff Court: "The SSPCA officer returned to the car and spoke to a colleague."The colleague said the man at the door was McNicol and he owned the dog."The officer returned to the house to speak with him."He confirmed he was James McNicol and said there was a dog...but would not allow her to take the dog."The SSPCA officer went into the living room and saw the dog - a crossbreed called Scamp - lying stricken on the floor.The poor animal had visible ribs and hip bones as well as being unresponsive to touch and sound.Scamp was rushed to the vet, but sadly had to be put down.The dog was described as severely underweight and badly dehydrated.
