Crooks snatch cash case from security man outside busy Cambuslang takeaway

Police are hunting a robber and their getaway driver who targeted a G4S cash-in-transit van near a busy McDonald’s restaurant in Glasgow.Officers remained at the scene on London Road, Cambuslang, late on Monday evening after being called to the car park at around 12.50pm that day.

A cash case was stolen from the G4S employee, who was thankfully uninjured, before the thief fled the scene in a black coloured motor which was being driven by another man.

They told us: “Around 12.50pm on Monday (November 28), a G4S security man was robbed of a security case within a car park at McDonald’s, Westthorn Drive, Cambuslang."He was not injured.“The suspect made off in a black coloured vehicle that was driven by another man. "Police enquiries are ongoing to trace the vehicle and those responsible for the robbery.”A G4S spokesman told Lanarkshire Live: "We are supporting Police Scotland with their inquiries following an attack on one of our couriers on London Road, Glasgow.
