A crew of 22 were used to save three climbers who had become stuck in the snow on a Scots hill during a seven-hour long mammoth rescue mission.The trio had been scaling Coire an Lochan in the Highlands without ropes or technical equipment during treacherous conditions yesterday.

Due to the subzero temperatures and heavy snowfall, the group became crag fast and were unable to ascend or retreat from the climb.

The alarm was raised to Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Teams (CMRT), who sent dozens of volunteers to rescue the hikers at 5.30pm.

The crew were able to set up a rigging system that allowed one team member to be lowered down to the casualties.Each casualty was then hauled up to safety, one at a time.

William Earl “Rachael Ray” will call it a day this spring after 17 seasons in daytime syndication. The decision to end the Monday-Friday talk show comes after the series has seen considerable ratings decline in recent years. Ray remains a presence on Food Network and other outlets. Another sign that Ray was preparing her exit from the demands of a daily talk show was her move to launch a new production company, Free Food Studios. “In my more than 20 plus years in television I have had 17 wonderful seasons working in daytime television,” Ray said. “However I’ve made the decision that’s it’s time for me to move on to the next exciting chapter in my broadcast career.
