The Cambridge clan are excitedly awaiting their reported move to Adelaide Cottage on the Windsor Castle Estate this summer. But one person who is less than impressed about the duke and duchess leaving Kensington Palace after extensive, and expensive, renovation, is their sister in law's pal Omid Scobie.The prominent royal biographer revealed that the move has "raised eyebrows" amid the backdrop of the cost of living crisis.
Particularly after the pair made £5m of renovations on their apartment, much of which was said to be funded by the public purse.
In his latest column for Yahoo News, Omid said: "The Cambridge's time at KP [Kensington Palace] has come to an end after nine years.
Later this month they will move to a new abode in Windsor, for a life "away from the goldfish bowl" in London." He continues: "It's a decision that has raised a few eyebrows, particularly at a time when the country is dealing with a major cost of living crisis.
