And when she talked about the latest development in Fiz's love life, actress Jennie McAlpine, who plays the Weatherfield favourite, mused that a regular wedding to Phill Whittaker (Jamie Kenna) would definitely be an improvement on the last time she tied the knot! "The last wedding Fiz had was in prison, with only Chesney and the prison guard as guests," says Jennie. "So I think it would be lovely for her to have a nice white wedding, and a happy ending." You can sign up at the top of the page. Jennie, 38, joined the show in 2001 as a troubled teen fostered by Roy and Hayley. And it's fair to say that life on the Street hasn't been easy for the flame-haired show stalwart.
Her toughest time was when husband John Stape turned out to be a serial killer, and it was when his name came up recently that the cracks started to appear in Fiz and Phill's relationship.
