Coronation Street actor David Neilson has appeared to confirm he's left the soap for good after dramatic scenes which saw his character Roy leave the show.

Fans were left in an emotional state last week during Wednesday's episode as Roy Cropper left the ITV soap's cobbles in emotional scenes, which left viewers wondering if he was leaving the show for good or not.

Now, actor David has hinted that his exit was indeed his final appearance on the programme. "I'm 72, obviously.
