He befriended vulnerable Simon Barlow into the gang but on Friday's show, Corrie viewers discovered that Jacob had been secretly ripping off their boss Harvey, played by Will Mellor.
Simon was in for a scary shock as Harvey showed up on the cobbles and confessed to being responsible for putting Jacob in hospital after discovering his betrayal.Following the hour-long Friday episode, Jack confirmed his character's exit from the ITV soap.He tweeted: "[And] thats Jacob Hay over and out."I can't thank the fans enough for.
