New Coronation Street star Stephanie Davis has spoken out on joining the ITV soap after it was revealed she'll be part of a sizzling summer storyline.

The former Hollyoaks actress will be swapping Chester for Manchester when she appears on the cobbles from July. Stephanie, who is known for playing Sinead O’Connor in the Channel 4 soap, has been cast as Courtney Vance in the long-running ITV show for a heated affair storyline.

The 30-year-old will play the glamorous wife of Darren, one of Dev Alahan's new business associates. She'll join Corrie alongside Ryan Early, who previously starred as Helen Archer’s love interest Lee Bryce in the BBC radio drama The Archers, who has been cast as Darren.

And while he works with Dev on his business empire, Courtney begins to pursue a fling with Dev's teen son Aadi Alahan.
