CORONATION Street fans have raged over the very obvious Co-op advertisement and have branded it "subtle as a sledgehammer". ITV viewers spotted the shopping bags popping up in various scenes and have claimed it is "product placement overload".
The bright blue bag made an appearance multiple times on Wednesday's episode. It was spotted on the door in Tyrone Dobb's kitchen and Craig Tinker was seen carrying two big shopping bags while walking as he strolled Victoria Street with girlfriend Faye Windass.
The ITV soap and the supermarket chain have a product placement deal in place, which was signed back in 2018 and then renewed last year.
