Conor Benn remains 'free to fight' despite returning a positive sample for the banned substance clomifene ahead of Saturday's blockbuster showdown against Chris Eubank Jr at the O2 Arena.
The 26-year-old is reported to have been randomly tested by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association [VADA] with sources initially throwing this weekend's bout in London into serious doubt.
However, with a statement now being issued insisting Benn is free to fight, the catch weight fight looks set to go ahead in front of a sold-out crowd in the capital. UFC star Jon Jones has previously been suspended for also returning positive samples of the drug. A decision has since been made by both Wasserman and Matchroom Boxing stating the fight will go ahead as planned.
