Concern over missing 87-year-old man with dementia last seen near tram stop

An elderly man with dementia has gone missing from east Manchester. Police said the 87-year-old - named only as Edward - was last seen at around 5am this morning (October 4).

He was seen getting out of a Hastings taxi near the Droylsden tram stop. Edward is well-known in the Clayton area, police added.

Police shared a picture of Edward on social media as part of an appeal for help to find him. The post said 'officers are becoming increasingly concerned for Edward's safety and want to make sure he is safe and well'.
