Self-praise is no praise but in Clodagh McKenna’s case as she was forced to defend herself  after being accused of ‘loving herself’.

The exchange unfolded after a viewer took issue with the Irish chef’s allegedly over-inflated sense of self-worth and decided to air their views on social media.

Taking to Twitter, the woman commented on a clip of Clodagh in action on ITV’s This Morning on which she hosts a cooking segment saying: ‘Sorry but I find Clodagh a little bit too much. ‘She just comes over as loving herself a little bit too much.

Please bring the men cooks back, at least you can hear them!’ Inevitably, her opinion of female chefs didn’t go down so well with Clodagh’s fan base, and, really women in general.
