A full time climate activist has been arrested for criminal damage after she allegedly vandalised a memorial for Captain Sir Tom Moore by tipping human faeces over it.

Madeleine Budd, 21, is said to have been videoed while she emptied a canister of urine and faeces over the sculpture in Hatton, Derbyshire.

A police investigation was initiated after the footage surfaced on the social media page of protest campaign group, 'End UK Private Jets', the Mirror reports.

Derbyshire Constabulary confirmed that the 21-year-old was consequently arrested and charged following the incident yesterday.
