John Christopher Depp II (born June 9, 1963) is an American actor, singer, producer, and musician. He has been nominated for ten Golden Globe Awards, winning one for Best Actor for his performance of the title role in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2008), and has been nominated for three Academy Awards for Best Actor, among other accolades. He is regarded as one of the world's biggest film stars. Depp made his film debut in the 1984 film A Nightmare on Elm Street, before rising to prominence as a teen idol on the television series 21 Jump Street (1987–1990). He had a supporting role in Oliver Stone's 1986 war film Platoon and played the title character in the 1990 romantic fantasy Edward Scissorhands.

Christina Ricci reportedly joins Tim Burton’s ‘Addams Family’ series ‘Wednesday’

The publication said that Ricci is already filming in Romania, where production is expected to wrap at the end of the month.Ricci is often remembered for her role as Wednesday Addams in Barry Sonnenfeld’s 1990s franchise “The Addams Family.” In Burton’s new supernatural series, written by “Smallville” creators Al Gough and Miles Millar, the “Yellowjackets” star will be a series regular and play an entirely new character in the Addams family tree, according to Deadline.The Post has reached out to Ricci’s representatives for comment.Fans themselves pushed for Ricci’s casting with a viral petition last year that called for cinema’s original Wednesday Addams to take part.The new live-action “Wednesday” follows the titular teenage outcast, played by 19-year-old “Scream” actress Jenna Ortega, through her years at Nevermore Academy.
