Children at Lanarkshire schools use unusual donations to make spudtacular book characters

Potato supplier Albert Bartlett donated products to two North Lanarkshire schools for a World Book Day competition.Schoolchildren at Hilltop Primary in Airdrie and Cumbernauld Primary used the potatoes to create characters.The youngsters at both schools used their imaginations, paint, glitter and a variety of other items, coming up with some fantastic creations including superheroes, Disney characters and masked marvels.
