Changes to new Troon housing development to be considered by councillors after residents object

Changes to plans for 49 new homes in Troon will be considered by councillors next week.The proposal by Lynch Homes features 42 two storey detached houses, with a small number of bungalows, and will be considered by South Ayrshire Council's regulatory panel on Thursday, February 2.The report on the proposal states: "The landscaping proposals include landscaping on the southern side of the Barassie Burn to form a riparian (riverside) biodiversity corridor and footpath connections to the A759 to the north and south of the site."The application deals with just part of the wider Northeast Troon site.

This development was granted planning permission in principle for 680 homes in 2012 and is being developed by Lynch Homes and Taylor Wimpey.That original outline permission was followed up by an application for 290 homes for the southern half of the site in 2017.
