The broadcaster and writer was back on the Channel 4 show alongside friend and Coronation Street star Maureen Lipman. As the pair sat down to watch their latest TV shows, viewers saw Gyles rocking a pair of sunglasses - indoors.
The 73-year-old proceeded to ask Maureen, 75, what she thought of his new look. "The shades are very Jack Nicholson yeah," she replied to which Gyles responds: "I was feeling they were more Tom Cruise." But he then revealed why he was in fact wearing a pair of shades.
