Casualty fans were left distraught on Saturday night when Emergency Department favourite staff nurse Robyn Miller, payed by Amanda Henderson, was brutally killed off in a car accident as her character prepared to start a new life away from Holby.

The department staple had been a much loved member of the team for the best part of a decade, having originally arrived on our screens as a student nurse all the way back in 2013.

Embroiled in a number of high profile storylines including the death of her husband to a brain tumour, being kidnapped by her bipolar colleague David when he was suffering from a manic episode, and even being caught in a house fire after her home was targeted by a petrol bomb in 2017 - Robyn looked finally set to enjoy a welcome dose of peace.

The bubbly nurse was due to start a new life with her boyfriend and daughter away from the iconic emergency department, but sensationally quit early last week when she flagged the unfair and inhumane conditions the NHS was currently working with.
