Jennifer Maas TV Business Writer On the heels of the massive success of award-winning indie poker-themed deck-building game “Balatro,” mobile game giant King is getting in on the playing-card trend with the launch of “Candy Crush Solitaire.” Per King’s description for the new “Candy Crush” franchise game, “‘Candy Crush Solitaire‘ offers players a fresh, exciting way to enjoy solitaire by blending the familiar gameplay of tripeaks solitaire with engaging new features.

Players can expect a strategic, dynamic experience enhanced by fan-favorite boosters, challenging blockers and a rewarding progression system, all wrapped in the vibrant world of ‘Candy Crush.'” The new free-to-play mobile title, which operates with an in-game micro-transactions revenue model, will launch Feb.
